BLOOMINGTON, IN – Mercedes Enrique, President of CMS Corporation, a Bloomington-based construction company, recently joined the Indiana Chamber Board of Directors. She will serve on the Board for a 3-year term through fall 2020.
Enrique joins over 100 individuals from member companies making up the Indiana Chamber Board. They are CEOs, presidents, and other high-level executives from organizations throughout the state, representing diverse industries such as agriculture, construction, technology and data management, legal, manufacturing, real estate, health care, and many others. She is one of 26 new additions to the Board this year.
Enrique noted, “I am honored to be elected to the Indiana Chamber Board. I look forward to the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with my fellow Board members to advance the Board’s mission of economic prosperity and job growth in the State of Indiana.”
Enrique earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toledo.
She currently provides organizational leadership and strategic direction for CMS Corporation, an award-winning general construction company for Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial clients, with a self-performing specialty in mechanical, piping and fabrication. She serves or has served in various capacities and on several industry boards, among them the Indiana Construction Roundtable; Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC); Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC); and Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).
According to its website, the Indiana Chamber partners with more than 25,000 members and investors representing over 4 million Hoosiers with the mission of “cultivating a world-class environment which provides economic opportunity and prosperity.” The organization’s board researches key topics to form policy positions that inform and evaluate state and federal legislation.
