BARGERSVILLE, IN — CMS Corporation (CMS) has been awarded a $6.5 million mechanical contract by Pepper Construction for Purdue University’s Flex Lab Facility project in West Lafayette, IN. The Flex Lab Facility will have a footprint of approximately 107,000 square feet and will be used by Purdue’s School of Engineering. The building will consist of three stories plus a basement and offer a combination of office and lab space to support the university’s research needs. The construction period is estimated to be about 15 months.
CMS, an Indiana-based minority business enterprise (MBE), competed against four other mechanical contractors for the win. CMS Chief Executive Officer, Ernest Enrique, noted, “For this hotly contested bid, CMS offered the best combination of price, in-depth understanding of the project, and value-added suggestions for project enhancement and success. This is a tremendous project for our firm and will bring high visibility to CMS in the central Indiana construction market and beyond.”
