CMS Corporation Awards

B2000 Chiller

JBSA-Lackland, TX

This project was delivered with engineering complexity, mission impact, and disciplined execution while maintaining uninterrupted service to a critical command center. CMS modernized an aging central cooling plant using innovative temporary cooling solutions and precise coordination to avoid operational downtime in an occupied, high-security environment.

P400 – Submarine Refit Maintenance Support Facility

Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, WA

This five phase project at a strategic U.S. Navy installation delivered a modernized mission-critical facility within a heavily secured waterfront built to support the Navy’s most advanced nuclear powered missile submarines. This required daily coordination, escorted access, and precise scheduling to avoid interfering with ongoing operations. The team strengthened critical infrastructure, and demonstrated engineering innovation, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to mission continuity.

Tank Repairs

Eglin AFB, FL and McGhee Tyson ANGB, TN

The repair and upgrade of four large-capacity fuel tanks at two distinct military bases, Eglin in Florida and McGhee Tyson in Tennessee, set a new standard for innovation and teamwork. Dedicated teams, working concurrently at the two bases in separate states, overcame complex logistical and scheduling challenges ensuring operational continuity.

P260 – P8A Aircraft Airfield Pavement Improvements

Whidbey Island, WA

CMS transformed an aging airfield into a resilient hub for advanced Navy aircraft operations. Completed nine months early with zero safety incidents, the team integrated aircraft-carrier deck lighting into slip-formed paving, maintained tight tolerances, and used GPS-guided grading. Custom shoring and dewatering enabled construction of two 30,000-gallon oil-water separators 14 feet below sea level and 300 feet from the ocean. The team delivered infrastructure supporting mission continuity and readiness.

CMS Mechanical Awards

IU Health Central Utility Plant, Diesel Fuel System Installation

Indianapolis, IN

The team installed three massive underground tanks, advanced leak detection, and complex piping, seamlessly integrating them with critical steam and emergency power systems. Off-site prefabrication enhanced quality and safety, while meticulous planning and scheduling minimized community disruption. Heavy-lift operations in a dense urban setting and stringent environmental standards were managed with custom solutions and coordinated trades. The result is a resilient fuel system that strengthens hospital reliability and supports uninterrupted care for patients and the community.
