BARGERSVILLE, IN – CMS received the 2015 Zero Injury Award from the Coalition for Construction Safety, Inc. (CCS) at its 23rd Anniversary & Awards Celebration on April 28, 2016. The Zero Injury Award is given to companies whose craftspeople working for the company have not suffered a work-related accident resulting in loss of consciousness, restriction of work or motion, transfer to another job or requiring medical treatment other than first aid in the previous calendar year. CMS worked a total of 180,299 labor hours during the 2015 calendar year with zero recordable incidents.
This is CMS’s 9th Zero Injury Award in the past 11 years, a testament to CMS’s safety culture and exceptional health and safety program. Several CMS personnel attended the awards celebration, which was held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN, among them Mercedes Enrique, President; Khush Mander, Executive Vice President; and Bill Beach, Vice President of Business Development. Ms. Enrique noted, “The fact that we have won this award 9 out of 10 years demonstrates we are a company that is conscientious about safety. Safety starts with our team members in the field. Each one of our team members understands safety is Priority One on all of our projects.”
