Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation (CMS) announced today it has been awarded two projects at Minot AFB, ND, totaling $10.3M. First, CMS, in a joint venture (JV) with Jack Wayte Construction (JWC) called RM Builders JV, was awarded a $3.5M design-build task order under the $225M USACE Omaha Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). Shortly thereafter, CMS was awarded a $6.8M project to construct and repair POL facilities at Minot, under the AFICA Regional Engineering and Construction (RE&C) Central Region contract.
The scope of work under the $3.5M RM Builders JV project includes bathroom renovations at four Missile Alert Facility (MAF) locations and hazardous material abatement (e.g., asbestos-containing materials and mercury-containing light fixtures).
The $6.8M project to construct and repair POL facilities project will address 90 deficiencies within the bulk storage, refueler parking, Type III hydrant system, military service station and fuel operations building. The scope of work includes installation of multiple canopies, sidewalks, eyewash stations, and emergency fuel shut off (EFSO) pushbutton stations; repair of storm inlets, truck offloading concrete pavement, oil/water separators (OWSs), and security fence; and interior and exterior building repairs.
In addition to these new awards, CMS recently completed the design-build renovation of the Communications Building and is nearing completion of a large HAZMART building at Minot AFB.
“We are grateful for our continued success at this installation and look forward to breaking ground on these new projects,” stated CMS CEO and Chairman, Ernest Enrique. “All told, we have been awarded roughly $25M of work at Minot. We look forward to continuing to serve the Air Force and the Base mission at this strategic north-central US base.”
