CMS Awarded $10.4M in Fuels Work in Guam

MAUMEE, OH – CMS Corporation (CMS), an experienced Department of Defense construction prime contractor, announced today it has been awarded two tank repair projects in Guam. The first project is a $5.4M project to repair two hydrant fuel tanks at Andersen Air Force Base (AFB). The 10,000-BBL tanks are each 34 feet high by 50 feet in diameter. Tank repairs will include floating roof replacement, installation of aluminum stairways and handrails, replacement of level alarms, interior and exterior coatings, etc. CMS will perform API 653 inspections after the repairs are made and certify the tanks fit for service. The period of performance (POP) is 12 months.

The second project is a $5M project to repair two additional fuel tanks at Andersen AFB. The two tanks are also 10,000-BBL jet fuel tanks, 34 feet high by 50 feet in diameter. The range of repairs is similar to those previously described for the first two tanks. Repairs will also be followed by API 653 inspections and certification that the tanks are fit for service. The POP for this project is 13 months.

Both awards were made under CMS’s Worldwide Engineering and Construction prime contract with the U.S. Air Force.
