Maumee, OH – CMS announced today it has achieved DIAMOND level status for the sixth consecutive year in the Associated Builders and Contractors’ (ABC) STEP Safety Management System. STEP (Safety Training Evaluation Process) enables top-performing ABC members, like CMS, to achieve incident rates 658% safer than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics construction industry average, reducing total recordable incident rates by 85%.
The DIAMOND level is the highest recognition in the STEP program, demonstrating CMS’s proactive approach to hazard identification, employee training, and continuous improvement in safety practices across all of its projects.
“Achieving DIAMOND level status for the sixth consecutive year is a direct reflection of our team’s unwavering commitment to safety. At CMS, protecting our people is at the core of every decision we make, and this recognition reinforces the strength of our culture and the consistency of our practices across all projects,” said Ernest Enrique, Chairman and CEO at CMS Corporation.
