Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation (CMS) announced today that it has been awarded a $3.5 million Soo Locks MSB Windows Replacement task order under its USACE Nashville Lakes & Rivers Division (LRD) Regional Construction MATOC.
CMS will perform work at the Soo Locks Materials Storage Building (MSB) located in Sault Ste Marie, MI, on the St. Mary’s River between Lake Superior and Lake Huron, between the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the province of Ontario, Canada. The scope of work includes replacing 116 historic exterior windows and windows identified as no longer retaining integrity, with new windows designed to meet modern energy efficiency and anti-terrorism standards. The work will be executed following the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
