Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation (CMS) has been awarded a $17M task order to repair the bulk fuels storage area stormwater retention/detention pond at Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) in Guam, under its $2.5 billion US Air Force Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants Worldwide Multiple Award Task Order Contract (POL MATOC).
For this project, CMS will improve the coral-compacted road, enlarge the stormwater retention and detention ponds, and add three lined forebays. The team will also install six oil/water separator systems and new piping to support stormwater management for Tanks A-13 through A-18. Finally, we will permanently close two underground injection control (UIC) wells in the pond area. To meet current Base standards, this project will replace the deteriorated Rectifier Building with a reinforced, typhoon-rated structure designed to protect Cathodic Protection Rectifier #4.
