Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a $20 million project under the Air Force Worldwide Engineering and Construction (WE&C) contract to demolish upland tanks and associated facilities at Defense Fuel Support Point (DFSP) Newington, NH.
Under this new contract, CMS will lead a comprehensive deconstruction and environmental remediation effort to safely dismantle and remove all aboveground and underground infrastructure. The project scope includes the abatement and deconstruction of all on-site structures. Additionally, CMS will remove all on-site utilities, service roads, paved areas, and fuel pipelines, along with six bulk fuel storage tanks—two 80,000-barrel and four 50,000-barrel semi-buried steel tanks.
“We look forward to leveraging our expertise to safely decommission these facilities and restore the site in an environmentally responsible manner,” said Ernest Enrique, Chairman and CEO of CMS Corporation. “This project underscores our commitment to sustainability, safety, and operational excellence, and we are honored to support the Air Force in revitalizing this site for future use.”
