MAUMEE, OH – CMS Corporation (CMS) has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for the West Region under the $930M AFICA Regional Engineering and Construction (RE&C) program. The RE&C program is 100% set-aside for small business and covers three regions – West, Central, and East Regions – each regional contract with an individual ceiling of approx. $300M. The West Region covers the States of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
Under the West Region RE&C contract, CMS will compete with other awardees for design-build (D-B) and design-bid-build (D-B-B) task orders for new construction, renovation, site work, demolition, and emergency response, as well as specialty services (e.g., aircraft fuel storage and hydrant systems, UXO remediation, range services, airfield and non-airfield paving, and radiological and hazardous waste remediation). The contract scope includes work in remote and austere environments throughout the West Region. The period of contract performance is a 5-year base with three 1-year options.
Company CEO Ernest Enrique stated, “This is an exciting win for CMS. The CMS Team provides the full range of services that may be required under the RE&C West Region. We stand ready to support the Air Force, its client installations, and its mission throughout the region, including work in any remote and/or austere environments we may encounter.”
The West Region is the first of the three regional ID/IQ contracts to be awarded. Results of the source selections for the Central and East Regions are pending. The 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, Joint Base Lackland, San Antonio, Texas, is the contracting activity.
