BARGERSVILLE, IN – CMS proudly announces the addition of Ralph Canter, PE, as Construction Operations Manager, leading our Mechanical/Fabrication Construction Group. Canter joins CMS with an impressive 38-year career spanning the power plant operations, large-scale mechanical construction, customer management, and executive leadership areas. He first spent 24 years with Indiana Power & Light (IPL), where he started as a Welding Engineer and Licensed Chief Pressure Vessel Inspector. He was later promoted to managing IPL Steam Operations and finally to leading Client/Customer Service Operations for this public utility company. His next 16 years were spent successfully growing profitable mechanical construction businesses and running a large, complex industrial construction project in the Northern Colorado area.

Canter holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, has been a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Indiana since 1983, and has attended executive leadership education programs at the Harvard Business School, the University of Michigan, and the Colorado Springs Center for Creative Leadership. He will work out of the CMS Bargersville, IN office.
