BLOOMINGTON, IN — CMS President Mercedes Enrique has been named 1st Vice Chair of the Minority Business Enterprises Input Committee (MBEIC), a standing committee of the Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council (Mid-States MSDC) Board of Directors. Elected into membership by Mid-States MSDC-certified minority business enterprises (MBEs) , the MBEIC is organized specifically to provide to Board members and the Council constructive and solution-oriented input on issues affecting minority-owned businesses, and to promote Council programs and activities, such as the following:
- Acts as an advocate for issues related to minority business development
- Provides a platform for suppliers to network and partner for future business opportunities
- Supports the mission of the Council
- Recommends and develop programs for the Council’s MBEs and our diverse partners
- Works to recruit additional MBEs
- Serves as a liaison between the MBEs and the Council’s board
