BARGERSVILLE, IN — Stephen Gonzales was selected by his peers to receive the Coalition for Construction Safety (CCS) Outstanding Craftsperson Award. This recognition gives every CCS Association member firm an opportunity to publicly honor a craftsperson who they believe warrants distinction. It is intended to honor employees who work in the field, up to the level of Foreman.
Mr. Gonzales received the award at the 24th Annual CCS Anniversary and Awards Celebration on May 4, 2017, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. He received a Carhartt jacket embroidered with the CCS logo, “Outstanding Craftsperson 2017,” and his name. Mr. Gonzales’ wife and daughter were in attendance to support him in this honor.
Several CMS team members also attended the awards ceremony with Mr. Gonzales, including William Beach, Ralph Canter, Tom Medina, and Jake Hahn. Nominations cited him for his strong leadership skills, positive can-do attitude, and proficiency in multiple disciplines and crafts.
Mr. Gonzales is currently working as a Foreman on the Purdue Flex Lab Facility project at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. CMS is providing the mechanical scope of work for this $6.7M project.
