MAUMEE, OH – CMS Corporation (CMS) has been awarded the $950M Worldwide Engineering and Construction (WE&C) contract by the US Air Force. Under this indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract, CMS will compete with other awardees for design-build and design-bid-build task orders for new construction, renovation, site work, demolition, and emergency response worldwide, as well as specialty services (e.g., aircraft fuel storage and hydrant systems, UXO remediation, range services, airfield and non-airfield paving, and radiological and hazardous waste remediation). The contract scope of work includes work in remote, austere, and/or high risk/contingency environments around the world. The period of contract performance for the WE&C contract is a 5-year base with three 1-year options.
CMS previously won all three Regional Engineering and Construction (RE&C) contracts under the Air Force’s $930M RE&C program (West, Central, and East Regions). Together, these regional contracts cover the entire US, including AK and HI. The geography for the WE&C covers everything outside the continental US (Europe, Pacific, Southwest Asia); however, stateside projects deemed too complex for the RE&C contracts may also be issued under the WE&C.
Company CEO Ernest Enrique stated, “This WE&C award, along with the recent RE&C awards, mark a major milestone for CMS and are a testament to our proven management approach, hands-on experience, financial stability, and outstanding past performance as a DoD contractor. CMS stands ready to support the Air Force, its client installations, and its global mission, including work in any remote, austere, and/or contingent environments we may encounter.”
The 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, Joint Base Lackland, San Antonio, TX, is the contracting activity.
