MAUMEE, OH – CMS Corporation (CMS), in a joint venture with Compass Constructors, LLC (Compass), announced today it has been awarded a $500 million multiple award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for General Construction with Design-Build (D-B) Capabilities to Support the Installation of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) at Federal Agency Locations Throughout Geographic Zone C. Geographic Zone C includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
Work under this contract will include the design and construction of EVSE infrastructure improvements to facilitate installation of EVSE equipment, such as up-front site assessments; engineering and design services; new construction and/or renovations; electrical distribution upgrades (e.g., new or upgraded utility feeds, switchgear, panel boards, transformers, etc.); exterior renovations (e.g., trenching, pavements, bollards, etc.); EVSE installation; testing and commissioning; and training and operation and maintenance.
The contracting agency is the General Services Administration (GSA). This 5-year IDIQ contract is part of a $2 billion regional program to provide EVSE at Federal agency locations nationwide and in Puerto Rico.
Since 2020, CMS has been a Mentor to Compass, a certified 8(a) small business and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) headquartered in Kansas City, MO, under an approved SBA All Small Mentor-Protégé Program (ASMPP).
