MAUMEE, OH – CMS’s Ernest Enrique, CEO, and Mercedes Enrique, President, recently graduated from the Monsanto Supplier Diversity Mentorship Program (MSDMP). The MSDMP is an extensive mentoring program designed to assist in the growth and sustainability of diverse suppliers. The program is directed to businesses owned by minorities, women, persons with disabilities, and veterans or disabled veterans, as well as persons who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT). CMS was selected from over 300 competing firms nationwide to participate in this prestigious program.
When asked about the MSDMP, Ernest Enrique stated, “It was a privilege to participate in this program. The information we have gained will help CMS as we continue to grow. Membership in the MSDMP has also fostered friendships with mentees and Monsanto staff that will be long lasting. Monsanto’s commitment to diversity of people and inclusive teamwork practices is an example for others to emulate.”
Monsanto has a long history of employing a diverse workforce and creating an inclusive environment. Working with diverse suppliers both in the U.S. and abroad is also important to the company. A member of the second class to graduate from the program, CMS’s CEO and President attended a formal graduation ceremony on 27 April 2017 at Monsanto headquarters in St. Louis, MO.
