Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation, an experienced Department of Defense general contractor, has recently been awarded projects at two Air Force bases (AFBs): a $1.3 million project for Construction and Repairs for Fuels Facilities at Shaw AFB, SC and a $4.4 million project for API 653 Repair Tank 30001 at McConnell AFB, KS. Both projects fall under the CMS-held $2.5 billion Regional Engineering and Construction (RE&C) IDIQ Contracts, with Shaw awarded under the East Region RE&C and McConnell under the Central Region RE&C.
The task order at Shaw AFB covers the repair and upgrade of various fuel facilities throughout the base, with work including building renovation, canopy construction, and housekeeping pad installation. The McConnell AFB project entails internal and external repair of a 27,400-BBL (1,150,800-gallon) Jet A fuel tank (Tank 30001).
