Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation is pleased to announce the recent award of a $2.6 million contract to perform Various Piping Repairs at Misawa Air Base (AB), Japan. This contract, awarded under the Air Force Worldwide Engineering and Construction (WE&C) contract, marks CMS’s 6th project in Japan in just over a year.
Under this task order, CMS will undertake a comprehensive scope of repairs involving above- and below-ground piping and associated equipment at several critical facilities. Specifically, the project includes selective demolition of existing piping and equipment, installation of new piping components such as flanges, elbows, gaskets, vents, drains, pressure indicators, pig bars, and pipe supports. Additionally, CMS will construct a new reinforced concrete isolation valve pit at the site of the Type IV Hydrant System. While the primary focus will be on jet fuel pipelines, repairs will also extend to a diesel area and fill stand, MOGAS truck fill stand, and the South Service Station within Tank Farm 1.
