Maumee, OH – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved the Mentor Protégé Agreement (MPA) between CMS Corporation (CMS – the Mentor) and Semper Tek (Semper Tek – the Protégé). CMS is a construction contractor providing extensive design-build, new construction, renovation, fueling systems, and energy and sustainability experience for a wide range of federal government and commercial clients worldwide. Headquartered in Lexington, KY, Semper Tek is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that has been performing Design-Build projects for Federal clients since 2013.
The purpose of the MPA program is to encourage Mentors to provide a broad range of business development assistance to Protégés. Through this MPA, CMS will provide Semper Tek with guidance in key areas such as project management systems, corporate policies and procedures, customer and supplier networks, safety and quality control programs, and key personnel to ensure Semper Tek has the opportunity to leverage these resources during the term of this agreement.
We are excited to work with Semper Tek and look forward to combining our strengths to actively pursue SDVOSB set-aside opportunities, support VA construction programs, and deliver exceptional results that will have a lasting impact for our veterans.
“We’re proud to partner with Semper Tek through the SBA’s Mentor Protégé Program. Together, we’ll strengthen our capabilities and deliver meaningful results for our veterans and federal clients”, said Ernest Enrique, CEO, CMS Corporation.
