MAUMEE, OH and MADRID, SPAIN – CMS Corporation (CMS), in a joint venture with ACCIONA Construccion, S.A. (ACCIONA), announced today it has been awarded the $51.8 million P-313 MH-60R Base Improvements project at Naval Station (NS) Rota, Spain. This project was awarded under the JV’s $500M Multiple Award Construction Contract at Rota, Spain (Rota MACC) with the US Navy.
Base improvements include construction of a Combined Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Facility, as well as a Tactical Operational Flight Trainer (TOFT) facility, renovation of the Aircraft Storage Department (ASD), construction of new aircraft rinse and wash rack facilities, demolition work and associated site/civil work. Construction is anticipated to be complete in 2024.
The JV also won the initial task order issued under the Rota MACC – a $17.2 million project to construct a 3-story Port Operations Facility, Harbor Control Tower, and Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center at NS Rota, as well as a $23 million Expeditionary Maintenance Facility project at NS Rota.
