Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation announced today it has been awarded a $4.7M fuels project for Tank Repairs at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), FL and McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base (ANGB), TN. This project was awarded by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) under CMS’ East Region Engineering and Construction (RE&C) Contract.
The scope of work includes tank cleaning and repairs on three Eglin AFB Tanks: Tank 27 (2.4K BBL, Diesel F-54), Tank 40 (27K BBL, Jet-A fuel), and Tank 92 (5k BBL, Jet-A fuel). Specific repairs to the Eglin tanks include staircase modifications, AFFF fire suppression system demolition, Low Level Alarm (LLA) replacements, Internal Floating Roof (IFR) replacement, stilling well installation, containment sealant and exterior coatings. The scope of work at McGhee Tyson ANGB includes tank bottom removal and replacement, geodesic dome removal and replacement with a fixed cone-up roof, new IFR and internal and external coatings of Tank 3 (5k BBL, Jet-A fuel). The tanks range in diameter from 30 to 70 feet.
