Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation announced today that in a joint venture with New Mexico-based Jack Wayte Construction Co., Inc. (JWC), called SW-MID Builders JV, it has been awarded a $4 billion US Coast Guard (USCG) National Multiple Award Construction Contract (NMACC III) for the East Region. The JV now has the unique distinction of being one of only four firms nationwide to win both the East and West Regions of the $4 billion NMACC III.
Under this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, the USCG will issue design-build (D-B) and design-bid-build construction task orders for work at project sites located throughout the eastern region of the United States. Scopes of work will include new construction, marine construction (such as piers and wharfs), demolition, renovation, historical restoration, and infrastructure for land, shore, and coastal facilities.
The SW-MID Builders JV was one of only eight firms selected for this $4 billion, 10-year IDIQ contract covering the East Region. “The NMACC East Region award is a landmark achievement for CMS and Jack Wayte Construction. It underscores our capacity to concurrently manage and execute a diverse range of projects across a large geographic area. We are enthusiastic to embark on this new venture and are committed to enhancing the USCG’s infrastructure, ultimately contributing to the success of the NMACC East program,” said Ernest Enrique, Chairman and CEO of CMS.
