Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation announced today that Acciona CMS Philippines LLC, a joint venture between Ohio-based CMS Corporation and Spain-based Acciona, has been awarded a $33 million contract to construct the PDI Transient Aircraft Parking Apron at Basa Air Base (AB) in the Philippines. This award marks a significant milestone for CMS and underscores our expanding global presence.

The project entails the construction of a new parking apron, shoulders, and taxiway at Basa Air Base, along with a comprehensive stormwater management system, apron edge lighting, and vehicular roadways. The scope also includes other essential incidental work required to enhance the airfield’s operational capacity. The work, scheduled for completion in 2026, will be managed by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific, with construction oversight provided by NAVFAC ROICC Thailand. The JV’s proposal was selected from a competitive field of five submissions.

Securing this contract at Basa Air Base is a testament to CMS’s growing international footprint and our commitment to excellence in airfield infrastructure. This project not only supports the operational needs of the Philippine Air Force, but also showcases our capability to deliver complex, high-impact projects on a global scale,” said Ernest Enrique, Chairman and CEO of CMS Corporation. “We are proud to contribute to the enhancement of Basa Air Base’s operational capabilities.
