Maumee, OH – CMS Corporation, an accomplished global construction management firm serving the United States Department of Defense, announced today the award of a $209 million project at Beale Air Force Base (AFB), CA. The Repair and Construct Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Facility, B2145, project was awarded under the $4.8 billion Air Force Installation Contracting Agency (AFICA) Worldwide Engineering and Construction (WE&C) contract.
Over the four-year period of performance, CMS will architecturally modernize and renovate the 4-story, 179,000-square foot ISR Facility. This building, originally constructed in the late 1950s, currently houses administrative spaces, including secure spaces, for multiple groups performing tasks essential to the Air Force’s mission. The construction will be performed in multiple phases to ensure uninterrupted operations in the facility and minimize the need to relocate building tenants; however, the building will remain partially occupied at all hours throughout construction to support mission-critical ISR activities.
“The award of this substantial project underscores our stringent quality and safety standards, as well as our ability to execute classified projects with professionalism and discretion. This recognition highlights our long-standing history of successfully serving the United States Air Force,” stated CMS Chairman and CEO, Ernest Enrique. “We are eager to transform Beale’s ISR Building into a modern facility that better supports the United States Air Force.“
