MAUMEE, OH – CMS received the 2014 Zero Injury Award from the Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety, Inc. (MICCS) at its 22st Anniversary & Awards Celebration on April 30, 2015. The Zero Injury Award is given to companies whose craftspeople working for the company have not suffered a work-related accident resulting in loss of consciousness, restriction of work or motion, transfer to another job or requiring medical treatment other than first aid in the previous calendar year. CMS worked a total of 152,262 labor hours during the 2014 calendar year with zero recordable incidents. This is CMS’s 8th Zero Injury Award in the past 10 years, a testament to CMS’s safety culture and exceptional health and safety program.
Several CMS Operations personnel attended the awards celebration, which was held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN, among them Khush Mander, CMS Vice President of Operations. Mr. Mander noted, “The fact that we have won this award 8 out of 10 years demonstrates we are a company that is conscientious about safety. Safety starts with our guys in the field. Each one of our team members understands safety is Priority One on all of our projects.”
