BARGERSVILLE, IN — CMS Corporation (CMS) has been awarded a $5.5 million mechanical contract by Messer Construction Co. for Indiana University’s (IU) McNutt Quadrangle North Residence Hall Renovation project in Bloomington, IN. CMS will be responsible for the demolition of the existing hot water and chilled water piping loop and risers, installation of a new 4-pipe system and 400 vertical fan coil units, air distribution systems, and a Siemens facility management system. The construction period is estimated to be 10 months.
CMS, an Indiana-based minority business enterprise (MBE), competed against three other mechanical contractors for the win. CMS’s Chief Executive Officer, Ernest Enrique, noted, “CMS offered strategic value propositions for a premier housing renovation project with an accelerated timeline on IU’s main campus. This is a tremendous project for our firm and will continue to bring high visibility to CMS in the higher education market.”
