In response to the Government’s need to consolidate operations, reduce its footprint, and reduce energy consumption, CMS designed and constructed a new 2-story, 12,000 SF, fully enclosed climate-controlled building with parking facilities. The multifunctional facility includes offices, administrative areas, IT, security, training rooms, and conference and sleeping areas. It features an exterior wall of glass windows that overlook the large staging area for loading and maritime prepositioning of ships in the St. Johns River. Work also included civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, electronic safety and security, fire suppression, concrete, masonry, earthwork, and finishes.
